What You'll Get
The first rule of surfing is to look at where you want to go, rather than at the angry merman climbing onto your board. Learn the second rule with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $50 for a two-hour introductory surfing lesson for one (a $100 value)
- $90 for a two-hour introductory surfing lesson for two (a $200 value)

The veteran instructors at University of Surfing tutor pupils on the basics of wave riding during two-hour introductory classes. After steadying board footing on land, students mount long-boards that help them to safely outsmart the ocean’s waves and the air’s wayward seagulls. Since classes are taught in shallow waters during low tide, instructors can accommodate students aged 5–70 who possess basic swimming skills. An included wetsuit and booties keep skin comfortable no matter the weather or water temperature. Classes are usually held on Saturday and Sunday, with some exceptions; click here for the full calendar.
