- $25 for two tickets to the Rock 'n Roll Martini Party (a $50 value)
The Rock 'n Roll Martini Party takes place Tuesday, November 19 from 7 p.m–10 p.m at the Blue Martini Lounge. The event serves each attendee an intoxicating mix of live music and unlimited cocktail samples. 15 of the city's top mixologists show off their skills and hand out drinks. Each attendee then awards three voting cards to their favorite mixologists, who compete for a $1,000 prize. Meanwhile, Ashley Red and DJ Topsider fill the upscale venue with live music. Attendees should dress appropriately for a cocktail party or a nightclub event. Additional drinks and food will be available for purchase.
Cocktail City Vegas
The drinks at Blue Martini Lounge would be a draw on any night of the week, with guests sidling up to one of the four stylish bars to sip on an expertly mixed cocktail. On this evening, however, even the drinks get a boost, as Las Vegas' top mixologists assemble their artillery of potables for an intense battle of sips that's the brainchild of Cocktail City Vegas' party-planners. As the city's best bartenders shake and stir a melange of spirits in search of the best Absolut Hibiscus cocktail, they seem to move in unison with the evening's live music. They aren't dancing, though. High stakes guide each movement, as the next drink they pour could win them a prize of several thousand dollars—not to mention the distinction of being crowned champion of the Rock 'n Roll Martini Party.
This party isn't just for the competitors, though. The competition pays great dividends to attending guests; mixologists gladly hand out unlimited samples of their best cocktail creations in hopes of winning enough of the partygoers' voter cards to finally level out their wobbly coffee tables. Revelers, dressed to impress, dance to the sounds of cover band Ashley Red, and DJ Topsider keeps the tunes going between sets.
UNLV Beverage Club
Even though it's based out of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, UNLV Beverage Club doesn't limit itself to Vegas-area zip codes when it comes to planning fun-filled events. Students interested in working in the beverage industry educate themselves on production, management, and tastings, and then spearhead happenings that range from the annual Rock n' Brew to the Hollywood Beer and Music Festival, which pairs fest-goers with unlimited sips of craft brews and up-close views of local bands.

“VIP Entrance was definitely worth it! I personally think they admitted too many people. After the VIP hour was over, there was a line at each and every taste stop, and they just got longer as the night went on. There was also a mob of people waiting for the port-a-pottys! However it was a fun event, the beer selection was good, and all the vendors were friendly and knowledgeable about the beers.”
“I HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE FESTIVAL. I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN.”
“great time, pretty good selection of beers/beverages”
