The classes are on separate days. See you soon! :)

Q:

Am I ab.e to buy one for myself, and a gift for my son & daughter and use all three in the same visit? On my 13y/o I understand an adult must be present-but do they also have to be climbing? Thanks!!

renee c.  asked on  Oct 26, 2011

A:

If the 13 year old is taking the class, the adult must actually take the class with them. Sorry for the confusion. If the child was only climbing in the gym, the parent would not have to participate, but participants must be at least 15 to take the class alone. Please call (314)991-2516 if you need clarification.

A:

Yes, you can use these Groupons in the same visit. Although an adult must be present with your 13 year old, they do not have to climb.

Q:

How do I know if I purchase a birthday party I will be able to get a date that works?

Pat G.  asked on  Oct 26, 2011

A:

You can call the business directly before you purchase the Groupon to make sure your date or dates around that time are available.

Q:

I'm trying to buy two Groupons (the 101 class for me, and the 2-class package for my boyfriend's birthday) but it isn't giving me the option to purchase different packages, only multiple quantities of the same thing. I don't want to buy a package with both classes for myself because I'm not that athletic. I just wanted to participate in the first class with him, then let him do the advanced stuff on his own. What do I do?

Brittany D.  asked on  Oct 25, 2011

A:

Maybe Groupon can answer this better than I can, but it looks like you would have to purchase one Groupon and then go back after you complete the first purchase to purchase the second item. Hope this helps!

Q:

Do I have to make an appointment for the classes to ensure I have equipment to use? If I purchase the package with both classes, do I have to take both in the same day? If so, how long would both take, and how much gym use time would I have afterwards?

Brittany D.  asked on  Oct 25, 2011

A:

Yes, we do require reservations for classes and they do fill up quickly. You would take the two classes on separate days. Check our website at www.upperlimits.com for an updated class schedule. The class goes from 6-8 during the week and we close at 10pm. We also offer classes on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday we close at 8pm and on Sundays we close at 6. Class times are a bit different at the West County gym than the Downtown gym, so check the website for the schedule. Thanks!

Q:

Can groupons be used for 2 separate daily climbing passes rather than one day pass and one class?

Tabitha D.  asked on  Oct 25, 2011

A:

It's not actually for a day pass and a class. You are just able to climb after your class is over on that same day as long as you want until we close. Hope to see you soon!

Q:

Im 22 and have climbed before, but i have never belayed. I think im athletic enough to the 102 class, but should i start with 101?

Jenna W.  asked on  Oct 25, 2011

A:

Yes, you have to know how to belay to take Rock Gym 102. You learn how to belay in Rock Gym 101. You should get the package with RG 101 & 102. It's a steal! ;)

Q:

My husband and I were thinking about doing the 101 & 102 classes with our 6 & 8 year olds. I saw something about a family class and was wondering what your suggestion would be - would the 101 & 102 be too much for a 6 & 8 year old?

Dana H.  asked on  Oct 25, 2011

A:

The Rock Gym 101 would be good for the children. They won't be able to belay until they are 11, but they can still learn how to tie the knots and learn how to use the equipment. The Rock Gym 102 is better for participants 11 & older that know how to belay. Thanks!
