Q:

I wanted to purchase the pass for a family of 4 for my daughter and her family (boys are 17 and 13). Does the family package have any instructional part to it ? or do they have to know what they are doing already ?

kathy m.  asked on  Dec 14, 2012

A:

The family will get a brief orientation on how to safely use the equipment and clip into the autobelays, which will lower them to the ground automatically. They can do this with no prior climbing experience. Thanks Kathy! We hope to see them soon!

Q:

The $20 Family of Four Pass (value $45) -- My sister and I were thinking about purchasing this for our two younger cousins as a Christmas Present. Would this family pass work for us??

Keri S.  asked on  Dec 13, 2012

A:

Sorry Keri, this is for immediate family members living in the same household only. You could all take the Rock Gym 101 class together though!

Q:

Regarding the $20 Family of Four Pass (value $45), I assume that is an "all day climbing pass" with harness rental? Can you please verify? I was just there with my child this weekend and we paid about $35 for just the 2 of us, so I would think that for 4 people, the value would be more around $70. So, I wanted to make sure that there wouldn't be any other fees on top of the $20 to go climb. Thanks!

Nancy G.  asked on  Dec 13, 2012

A:

Yes, it includes the all day pass plus harness rental for up to 4 immediate family members. No other fees will be charged unless you want to rent extra equipment. Hope to see you soon!

Q:

How old does a child have to be for the beginner class?

Sarah H.  asked on  Dec 13, 2012

A:

There is no age to take the class. However, only children 11 and older will learn how to belay (work the ropes for the climber) and children under 15 must have a parent take the class with them. Hope this helps!
