What You'll Get
Humans used vegetables as crude hammers until one inquisitive soul licked a nail and realized it was delicious. Benefit from mankind’s curiosity with today’s Groupon: for $20, you get one original value box of produce including shipping, plus a lifetime membership, from Urban Organic (a $64.98 total value). This Groupon is valid for customers in Bergen, Essex, Middlesex, Passaic, Rockland, and Union Counties for Thursday delivery only. Groupon holders who opt subscribe to Urban Organic will receive 50% off their first month of delivery.
In existence since 1993, Urban Organic delivers fruits and vegetables to most North Jersey doorsteps year-round, with selections revolving weekly. Unlike grocery-store chains that offer foods grown in abandoned subway tunnels, Urban Organic bulk-buys its produce, groceries, and dairy goods from organic farmers’ cooperatives, distributors, and individual farmers. Original value boxes contain 14–18 types of produce, with one to three pieces of each item dutifully represented. Recent edible productions have starred green-leaf lettuce, russet potatoes, hamlin oranges, kiwis, and tomatoes; you can see the current week's offerings here.
Since Urban Organic is a subscription-based service, a credit/debit card is required to schedule delivery; you will not be charged unless you decide to subscribe to Urban Organic following your Groupon redemption. This offer is not valid for current Urban Organic subscribers.

About Urban Organic
Starting at two o'clock in the morning, trucks head out from Urban Organic's headquarters carrying boxes of organic, local produce to drop at doorsteps from the Bronx to Brooklyn and far-off lands such as Long Island and Connecticut. Each box holds a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, such as apples, chard, arugula, and bananas, each certified organic by the USDA. Since the selection rotates weekly, an included newsletter introduces the produce to families with handy tips on storage, cooking, and conversation starters.
The handy subscription service visits each of its delivery zones once a week so urbanites have easy access to organic, locally grown meals. Families can also take advantage of lower price tags than those at local grocery stores or black markets, since Urban Organic buys in bulk from organic farmers' cooperatives and distributors.
