The sparkling Sondheim show famed for the stunning ballad "Send in the Clowns" follows the romantic lives of several couples over a weekend at an early 20th-century Swedish country house, where surprising liaisons, long-simmering passions and a taste of love's endless possibilities are all brought to light. The action centers around a middle-aged lawyer who's been married to his teenage trophy wife for nearly a year, but she's tenaciously holding onto her virginity. His eyes begin to wander to the other guests, and he finds himself searching for true meaning and fulfillment in a relationship. Sophisticated, literate and stylish, A Little Night Music won multiple Tony Awards during its debut Broadway run, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. This USC School of Dramatic Arts production hits the stage at the Bing Theatre.
