What You'll Get
Without preservation efforts, entire generations would never know the beauty of Jefferson’s Monticello, the reverence of Washington’s Mount Vernon, or the sanctity of the bar where Andrew Jackson once challenged a horse to a duel. Help save iconic establishments with today's Groupon to the Utah Heritage Foundation. Choose between the following options:
- For $17, you get a one-year individual membership (a $35 value).
- For $25, you get a one-year family membership (a $50 value).
From spearheading preservation projects and legislation to leading guided tours of important local landmarks, the Utah Heritage Foundation serves as the Beehive State’s trusty steward. Established in 1966 as the first statewide preservation organization in the western United States, the foundation has helped preserve the structure and history of such monuments as Salt Lake City’s iconic City and County Building. Along with helping to fund the organization’s mission, membership perks include discounts at Salt Lake City businesses and Utah State Park stores and quarterly copies of the "Heritage" newsletter, updated every three months with current projects and a crossword puzzle in which every answer is “Utah." While the foundation often hosts public events and gatherings, members also gain access to exclusive members-only events and trips, which in the past have included a tour of Topaz Internment Camp and the million stone Jenga pieces that form the Delicate Arch. Groupon holders who redeem by September 22 will also receive a free ticket to the foundation's Hangar Party after party on Friday, September 23 at Bourbon House.
