We went on open cockpit day. Not only were we able to walk around the planes, we were able to sit in some of them! You could also walk into some of the planes. There were veterans there that explained in detail the aircraft that you were looking at. Also a good gift shop!

Every volunteer was very friendly, with tour guides who understood the rich history of the pieces at the museum. You get several opportunities to see planes depart and arrive at the airfield it butts against. Many opportunities to sit in decommissioned planes!
