Exercise is a pleasurable activity for both would-be athletes and recovering pyromaniacs desperate enough to settle for burning calories. Fuel fitness regimens with today’s Groupon: for $59, you get a 21-day rapid fat-loss boot camp at Valley Fit Body Boot Camp (a $200 value). This Groupon is valid at the locations in Murrieta and Temecula.
After brainstorming for months inside their spacious indoor gym, Valley Fit Body Boot Camp’s experienced instructors have emerged with a fitness formula that combines core strengthening and body toning to help break down calories. The indoor-based program incorporates suspension trainers, battling ropes, and resistance exercises into one-hour workouts that are designed to result in lasting weight loss and breathtaking abdominal mountain ranges. Though the workouts feature a range of high-intensity movements to maximize fat burn, instructors keep their militaristic diatribes to a minimum and instead foster an engaging, nonintimidating atmosphere for all levels of fitness. Shouts of encouragement are matched by the support of the gym’s triple-bonded foam floor, which puts weary joints at ease and simulates the sensation of walking through a field of cotton candy shrubs at the height of spring blossom.
The three-week rapid fat-loss program also includes a full supply of alkaline water to keep hardworking bodies pH-balanced and running like a freshly charged AA battery. This real-life ambrosia—coupled with a balanced nutrition and workout plan for use outside of boot camp sessions—will help to exorcise acidic belly demons and keep muscles in prime condition for continued growth. The Murietta location hosts a convenient weekday schedule of workouts, while workouts at the Temecula location are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:45 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.
Valley Fit Body Boot Camp
Valley Fit Body Boot Camp’s Jon Luckey got his first taste of what life was like as a personal trainer at the young age of 4. No, he wasn't making his Army action figures do squats; rather, he helped his father remove a weight-lifting bar pinned on his neck. His dad had been using his bench press and then suddenly yelled for help when he got trapped under a too-heavy weight. Jon ran over to his dad and managed to help him dump the heavy bar off to one side.
Growing up, Jon had many more encounters with weights as he built up his muscles for soccer, baseball, and American Kenpo martial arts. He also spent a lot of time in the weight room while playing high school and college football and even playing Minor League baseball for a short period.
Since then, Jon has managed various big box gyms in the Valley and run their personal-training departments. Though he loved helping people transform themselves, he didn't like the high turnover rates the big gyms experienced. So he and his brother Adam opened Fit Body Bootcamp, where they help people torch calories and tone up during workouts that are personalized, supportive, and not intimidating.
