Q:

I have some VHS-C tapes that need to be transferred to DVD. Can you do this and how much per hour? VHS-C are the compact VHS tapes that fit into a full size VHS adapter.

A:

VHS-c? never heard of them.... HAHA!! just kidding. Of course i can do the VHSc tapes. They are generally shorter in length so i can do them at a reduced rate per tape depending on how many you have.

Q:

I have a super 8 (I think) movie that is about 15 minutes long. Do you know how long "50 feet" of film is? I'm trying to estimate how much it would cost to transfer. I also have a soundtrack on cassette tape that needs to be synch'd to the tape, but the speed of the tape needs to be manipulated a bit for it to match. Is this something you could accomdate?

Lori G.  asked on  Oct 24, 2011

A:

super 8 film reels come in 3 sizes, 3inch 5inch and 7inch.. 3inch reels are about 50feet and run about 3 minutes, 5inch reels 200feet and 7inch about 400 feet.. The soundtrack tape can be synced without a problem. Pricing for that would fall under editing time which will run you $30 per hour.

Q:

Assuming the $10 an hour charge for the conversion, the $25 would be paying for 5 hours of VHS transferred to DVD, correct? Do we need to drop off the VHS at your place of business?

Michele .  asked on  Oct 24, 2011

A:

Yes, that is correct....And you can drop off to my office on downtown 16th street mall or send it through the mail....

Q:

We don't have a VCR to review what's on the old tapes, so it would be difficult to just hand something over for transfer. Do you have the equipment so that we could preview what we have before transferring?

Catherine O.  asked on  Oct 23, 2011

A:

I normally would charge to do something like that...depending on how many tapes you have and what you would consider a "preview" we could work something out...if you can make it a fairly quick process then there will not be a charge.
