They are great. Marissa is a wonderful teacher. I continue to take weekly lessons there after the expiration of the Groupon.

What You'll Get

The act of ivory tickling can cheer up a crowd, win over a love interest, or make a peaceful elephant feel significantly more like stampeding. Get your phalanges flowing with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $25 for one month of 30-minute private music lessons (an $80 value)
  • $45 for two months of 30-minute private music lessons (a $160 value)<p>

During 30-minute, one-on-one lessons held once per week, students learn about music history as they train fingers to knock out a popular tune or commercial jingle. As gray matter soaks up lessons in musical theory, fingers tickle keys during piano lessons, strum the strings of their own guitar, or emulate their favorite Clinton on the saxophone. Students can receive awards and may show off skills at optional monthly practice recitals.

The Fine Print

Promotional value expires Nov 21, 2012. Amount paid never expires. May buy multiples. Limit 1 per visit. Limit 1 Groupon per instrument. Reservation required. Valid for new clients only. Lessons expire 4/8 weeks from activation date. Must schedule lessons on consecutive weeks. Classes must be used by the same person. About Vance Music

Instructors at Vance Music, including many members of the Vance family, draw on more than a century's worth of collective teaching experience to introduce children and adults to singing or musical expression. The school, which originally opened 60 years ago in Kansas City, teaches all styles while carrying on the tradition of classical music practiced by the Vance family's patriarch, Chester S. Vance, an accomplished pianist who toured with USO shows as a World War II veteran. Now, students at Vance can study 28 concentrations, including theory, composition, and performance with instrument or voice and experiment with varying styles of music without bringing an electric guitar into the shower.
