Q:

Permitted forms of advertising Tobacco advertising must meet conditions with respect to both venue and content in order to be legal. Three venues are allowed: Direct mail, addressed to a specific adult; Publications with an adult readership of 85% or more (though it is not clear what proof of readership is required); Signs in a place where young persons are not permitted by law (i.e. bars). With respect to content, two categories of ads are allowed: brand-preference and information advertising, i.e. factual information about a product, its characteristics, its availability and its price. However, advertisements in these two categories: Must not mislead or deceive, or be "likely to create an erroneous impression about the characteristics, health effects or health hazards of the tobacco product or its emissions"; Must not constitute lifestyle advertising, defined as advertising that "associates a product with, or evokes positive or negative emotion about or image of, a way of life such as one that includes glamour, recreation, vitality, risk or daring." Cannot be "construed on reasonable grounds to be appealing to young people".

A:

Hi Stephen, I believe marketing gift packs and gift certificates is fine, but I will definitely look into this closer. Thank you for your input, Trevor Wallace.

Q:

Does each package come with specific cigars or is it a value and you choose which they were? I am not currently in Vancouver but have a cousin there that would pick it up for me, I wanted to get some for xmas gifts as well but the same person would be picking them up. It says only one plus 4 gifts, does that mean that 4 different people would have to pick them up? Otherwise I would need to know dow does the shipping work if you are in Alberta? Thanks for your time and consideration.

James D.  asked on  Nov 12, 2012

A:

Hi James, The 4 pack comes with specific cigars which are listed in the deal. The $100 and $50 groupons can be used for anything that we have in stock. I believe your cousin can pick all of them up as long as he has all the groupon codes; each groupon purchased has a specific code that is needed for redemption. Thank you for your interest, Trevor Wallace

Q:

Does this price include shipping as I live north of Vancouver Island?

Barbara A.  asked on  Nov 11, 2012

A:

Hello Barbara, Shipping would be extra for the 4 pack of cigars deal. If you get the $100 or $50 groupon, you can choose to apply part of your groupon to the shipping. In BC we use expedited shipping with Canada Post and it is $10. Thank you for your interest, Trevor Wallace.

Q:

how many cigars do you get with the deal? I see there are 4 varieties, but how many each kind?

Elaine P.  asked on  Nov 11, 2012

A:

Hello Elaine, The deal is for four single cigars, a cutter and a lighter inside a gift box. Regular price is $150.25 for this package, so $75 is a great deal. Thank you for your interest, Trevor Wallace
