The 30-minute consultation begins with a sit-down and five-minute conversation about the symptoms of the patient’s pain or discomfort, along with a medical history and discussion of significant factors and potential causes. Dr. Michael Horowitz then conducts a foot and alignment examination, as well as a visual gait scan and electronic gait scan using TOG technology. He will also lead patients through a series of biomechanical and orthopaedic tests to determine if custom orthotic inserts are needed. Finally, custom orthotics will be constructed using the data and metrics from the consultation.

Custom orthotics promote healthier distribution of weight and pressure, which in turn can reduce pain in the ankles, knees, hips, and back.
