Questions and Answers 4 questions

Q:

What type of numbing medicine do you use. I've had all the procedures done before and the lips are very painful.

Cynthia M D.  asked on  Jun 17, 2013

A:

We use topical anesthetics for all three areas. For the eyes we use the Incredible I-Cream (and it is incredible, I didn't feel a thing!), for the eyebrows and lips we use TLC which is a combination of tetracaine and lidocaine. During and throughout all procedures we apply Duracaine so that you stay comfortable and pain-free, and it really does help. Some level of sensitivity is to be expected because it is a tattoo, but with the lips that is mostly experienced after the procedure during the healing time which is about a week. Let me know if this answered your question! Hope to see you soon! Dr. T

Q:

How much experience do you have doing eyebrows?

Susan S.  asked on  Jun 16, 2013

A:

Our permanent makeup technician has been tattooing for over 3 years. Not only is he certified in permanent make up, but he is a tattoo artist who also does creative tattooing. His technique for eyebrows is very good. Short strokes that mimic real hair is applied to either fill in thin eyebrows or completely recreate eyebrows.

Q:

There is any chance that the work around the mouth being wrong in anyway like uneven or look wrong ? any liability for the person who apply the service?

Beatriz P.  asked on  Jun 16, 2013

A:

The probability of error is very slim. You and our permanent makeup technician decide where the lip tattooing is applied. It can be used to correct an uneven lip border as well as just enhance the shape and fullness of your lips.

Q:

Please advise any risks associated with the eyebrow procedure.

Lanie C.  asked on  Jun 16, 2013

A:

Hi Lanie, there really are no risks associated with the eyebrow procedure. You will have minimal swelling just post procedure that can last up to a week at the most. The eyebrows are really the procedure with the lowest downtime and minimal complications. With any area there is always the risk of infection, but in our facility that has never happened. We use disposable applicators each time and take precautions to avoid contamination. Not only are we a Medical Spa, but we are also a Medical office providing Primary Care Medicine, so if there were any problems, our doctors on staff are there every day to help. Also, your free consultation will be with one of the Physicians if you have any further questions or concerns! Hope this helps and see you soon!
