Venezuelan Bowl Grill is located in Lincoln Park, but as soon as guests enter, they’re transported to South America. More specifically, Venezuela. The eatery’s walls are painted in the red, yellow, and blue of the country’s flag, and that’s only the beginning. Diners peruse the menu of authentic Venezuelan fare, which begins with appetizers, such as arepas, empanadas, and sweet-corn pancakes called cachapa. Then, it’s onto the restaurant’s namesake rice bowls. Aside from favorites such as the shrimp, steak, and chicken bowls, chefs also transform Venezuela’s national dish—pabellón criollo—into a delicious bowl featuring shredded beef, black beans, fried plantains, and Venezuelan-style sauce.
