Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

How is it determined where that dog that receives the vest will be?

margaret  asked on  Dec 26, 2012

A:

We maintain a waiting list which includes K9s throughout the United States. Law enforcement agencies must approve our participation in the Groupon Campaign on their behalf, and allow us to showcase their K9s photos and biographies. The amount of K9s we are able to vest will depend upon the number of Groupons sold at the close of the event on January 9.

Q:

Can you indicate the city you would like your donation for the vest to go to?

Nance N.  asked on  Dec 26, 2012

A:

All of the contrubutions from the GROUPON campaign go towards vests for the K9s. There is no admistrative cost. We are an all volunteer 501c(3) non profit charity. Each groupon is $10. We have received authorization from all law enforcement agencies whose K9s are slated to receive vests to promote via web and social media. If you know of a department with a K9 needing a vest, please have them contact us for consideration at info@vik9s.org.

Q:

You are not answering peoples questions! They, as I want to know what STATES are benefiting from the vests, not the fact that they incur no costs.

April D.  asked on  Dec 31, 2012

A:

Our apologies for the delay. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The vests will go to dogs based upon a waiting list, so there is no set determination as to which states receive the vests. Hope that helps to clarify.
