An exorbitant amount of miscommunication made for a lot of “wrongs” on this trip. The lack of customer service and not even WANTING to try to sort things out and even get close to working something out for good, made for a stressful day. It was heightened due to the constant rude and badgering texts

Ron our driver for the day was outstanding. He had a great deal of history and information that he shared and was a delight to be with.

Read the cancellation policies carefully before booking — they are extremely strict, and now I fully understand why. This was, without question, one of the worst tours we have ever experienced. The customer service was unacceptable from start to finish. Our assigned driver, Vladimir, arrived with a small, cramped van and proceeded to pack 11 people inside. It felt more like being shoved into a shuttle than being on a paid bourbon experience. My husband, who is over 6 ft tall, spent the entire ride folded into an uncomfortable position — and this was supposed to be his birthday celebration. The situation got even worse at Woodford. Because the bottle engraving took longer than expected — something completely out of our control — the driver left us behind. We walked out and the van was gone. We were forced to call an Uber and pay $30 out of pocket just to catch up with the group at Buffalo Trace. By the time we arrived, we didn’t even feel comfortable going on the tour out of fear we would miss the van again and be stranded a second time. We essentially paid to stress about the schedule, not enjoy the bourbon experience we were promised. While waiting for our Uber, we spoke with a driver from Mint Julep Tours who was shocked by what happened. He explained that their company never leaves guests behind and actually builds shopping and gift time into their schedule so people aren’t rushed or penalized for enjoying the distilleries. His bus was spacious, clean, and looked far more professional than what we were stuck with. From the lack of communication, to the overcrowded vehicle, to being literally abandoned mid-tour, this company showed zero regard for customer experience, safety, or basic hospitality. NEVER AGAIN!

We found this to be an easy and affordable way to experience the bourbon trail. We were able to visit 5 different distilleries without having to plan or prepare a single thing other than booking through them. Vladimir was an excellent guide making sure everyone in the group had a great experience.
