This was the most amazing breath taking tour. The sweetest tour guides that just might be more excited than you!! Made the entire experience so fun, saying they provide photos is an understatement they make sure you get ton! They will make sure you have great memories! They provided hand warmers, snacks, and even slices of cake!

if i could give 10 stars i would! one goal in fairbanks and it was to see the northern lights and take photos of it. mission accomplished! they were so friendly, educational, safe, hard working, excited, enthusiastic, and just overall gave amazing service; made sure the group was happy, comfortable from the cold, and had us and helped us take as many photos as possible to memorialize the amazing site and experience. thank you so much for wonderful time. i couldn't have asked for a better option or tour group. literally went perfectly well!

I could not have asked for a better experience. While seeing the actual aurora is a bit of luck, we certainly lucked out and saw one of the best shows ever imaginable that lasted for hours. The photos I am posting are only barely brighter than the peaks of the real thing. Usually, the photos you see are quite a bit more exaggerated than the real thing due to how the aurora is picked up in digital photography. - Our tour guides, Elana and Ed (I may have his name wrong) were extremely informative with the data they were tracking and presented it in a fun and clear way. We got so lucky because they timed our arrival to a spot that was under an hour from downtown Fairbanks PERFECTLY and we got out of the van seconds before one of the best aurora's in the past couple of years. Again, having the aurora this bright and for so many hours is certainly luck, but the data interpretation, known viewing spots without light pollution, cloud coverage and timing of our arrival is not luck. They kept it fun the entire time and showed genuine excitement for themselves and for all of us getting this experience. They gave us snacks and water and even scrounged up some toe warmers for me and my poor choice of winter boots. - The van was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be due to me and my partner being picked up first and sitting in the front row, which are two bucket seats. I do not think any of the rows are bench seats, so you do feel a bit more private. I cannot say how the back rows feel, but if you get carsick, maybe request the front (I did not have to, but might have if we were not first in). They coordinate the pickup time and tell you in advance. We were picked up at 7pm and it took about an hour to round up everyone else which was about 10 people. - If you are a couple or solo, they will get as many pictures of you as possible at all stages of the night. Elana encourages fun and silly pictures as well as anything you can dream of. - They will stay as long as you wish or is reasonable. We were actually ready to leave an hour before the rest of the group and we stayed even longer for a couple to finish waiting for them (too long as the sights had ended). But you would rather them wait for people who were still hopeful to see and photograph more than pressure us to leave if there is a chance to see more. We were out there for HOURS and saw repeated waves of incredible and differing spectacles including things that Ed said he'd never seen before. I would wholeheartedly recommend this trip even if you have a car as you are more likely to see it with people who know where to go and when to go there. We had good luck driving ourselves too, but their spots were much less trafficked and quiet. In fact, we didn't see but one other car the entire time.

It's a long activity. A good 2 hr drive north of fairbanks to get the best view of Aurora. The guides were full of energy and gives so much encouragement for you to seize the moment, take endless photos of you with background of the aurora. Wear appropriate clothing since this activity is completely outdoor, exposed to cold environment. Totally worth it
