Highlights

Come see why we are Trip Advisor's #1 ranked Algonquin Park outdoor activity since 2014.

We have guided Algonquin Park canoe trips since 1996. If you want to learn about canoe camping and observe wildlife, or fish, in Algonquin Park's deep interior, this is your best opportunity. You will paddle, portage, hike, camp, learn, relax, swim, cliff jump, feast, laugh & make friends. Let us get you intimate with nature.

Our guides are all full-time employees (never contractors) with the highest credentials & training. They have a 90% success rate for finding moose/beaver.

The food is amazing! Our local organic farm provides much of the produce for your meals. A Henrietta's Pine Bakery sandwich starts off your adventure. We make s'mores over the fire.

The program is participatory in nature, so group members share in campsite chores and help carry gear.

We are a veteran owned local business. Proceeds support our Canoe4Cancer charity program. Age 7+. 12pm departure and 2-3pm return.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

1) No Smoking (bring dermal, chewable or vape options, if required)

2) Only small amounts of alcohol (128ml per person, total for the trip). No glass bottles or cans.

3) No flip-flops.

4) Only use cream or wipes style insect repellant (never bring aerosol or pump sprays). Remember, we have bug jackets.

5) Canoe safari boats seat 3 and each group of 9 people takes 3 boats. Depending on group configuration, families and couples may periodically need to paddle in different boats (but all travelling together).

6) Tents are private on this group adventure. Solo travellers will get a solo tent.

7) Bus transport to/from Huntsville is possible on Ontario Northland. An overnight stay in Huntsville is required. A $40 per person shuttle can be arranged to the park (let us know, in advance, if you need this). We can hold extra baggage if you come by bus. Other group members can usually give a free lift back to Huntsville. Or, another shuttle can be arranged.

8) Fishing - You can bring your own gear. Or, we rent gear for $50CAD, plus 13% tax, per person (let us know, in advance, if you need this). A fishing permit is also required if over 18. They can be bought at our meeting location for $26.40CAD/day.

9) We also rent the following items: 30l waterproof backpack ($20CAD, plus 13% tax), 15l camera/day drybag ($10CAD, plus 13% tax), travel towel ($5CAD, plus 13% tax) and flashlights (free). Let us know, in advance, if you require any of these items.

10) Packing - a 30l backpack or duffle, per person, should hold all your clothes. Families/couples can use larger bags. This will protect the contents from extended rain or water in the canoe.

11) What to bring:

- 2 sets of outer clothes. One on your back and one in the bag. Long sleeve & loose fitting synthetic clothes are best for drying quick and protecting from sun/insects/scratches. Black tights are the worst.
