I have some experience canyoneering, ranging from long technical tours (in my younger years) to easy tours for just a few hours. This time, I took my 11-year old son for his first experience. I was looking for something interesting and adventurous, but not overwhelming. This was a perfect balance - a bit of a challenge, an incredibly patient and skilled guide, and gorgeous views. The rappels were structured well to get us used to (or re-used to) the gear with the last rappel being really stunning next to an impressive waterfall. The water was higher than usual, and so the guide adapted to ensure we got across a couple of spots safely. It ended with a lovely rockhopping hike through some of the canyon and then back up to the road. I have a million pictures, and felt mildly sore and totally satisfied at the end of the day. It was really cool to do it as a private tour rather than with a larger group. Aaron, the guide was patient as previously stated, and also easy going, pleasant, and knowledgeable. If you are in Tucson, don't miss this!

This canyon trip is unique in it's accessibility to canyoneers of all skill levels, including beginners. Think scenic canyon hiking, but the hike is intermingled with exciting rappels down water features. This trip has a little bit of everything- a good workout, a chance to learn new skills, and some free-hanging on ropes to get your adrenaline pumping. And all of it nestled in a beautiful desert setting that is otherwise inaccessible to the public. This trip requires some physicality and a solid base fitness level.

Departure Point

Great experience! Would highly recommend to others. Our tour guide Daly was great and super knowledgeable about repelling and the surrounding environment!

We loved the experience! Our tour guide was Aaron and he is the very best. The canyon is gorgeous, the falls are beautiful and the rappels are very exciting. Aaron is fun and he explained everything to make us (me) feel secure. The weather was perfect. We bumped into a couple of people at the beginning and the end of the hike, but between rappels we got the canyon to ourselves. We love the hiking. There are some slippery rocks but nothing to worry about. We'll definitely come back!

We did a 1/2 day Canyoneering tour and it was so much fun! Daly our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Easy to meetup at Le Buzz and go to the Trailhead. The canyon was gorgeous, and while this is active it isn’t over the top. Daly gave great instructions as we moved through the canyon and did this different activities. VERY safety focused which I appreciated. As we hiked she told us about the Saguro and the other plants and the rocks and canyon. Skilled guide that really cares and put her heart into giving us a good time. Thank you! I recommend this is you are looking to do something active in Tucson.
