The camp is located on a mountain in a more secluded area, so if there is high/moderate aurora activity, you are bound to see it! Fortunately, my group and I were able to see the northern lights, and our host, David, was very knowledgeable about the northern lights. He is also a talented photographer and took beautiful pictures of us and the lights. It was nice to go out to see the lights and go back into the cabin if we got cold. I think that’s what makes this excursion worth it! If we got cold, we were able to go inside, warm up, and go back out again. Plus, David provides you with a ton of snacks (chips, hot cocoa, tea, cup of noodles, candy, and pizza). Overall, we had the best time!
