We went to a beautiful house/studio where we learned about the local natural clays as well as some of the local points of interest; we were each able to make a nice piece in the time allowed, and brought the pieces home for a low temperature firing; great experience. Note: we are members of a clay studio near our home, and we're interested in new techniques.

Beautiful setting, very interesting learning about the soil and clays. Great experience. Loved making our pots and mugs in a remote part of Julian.

Becky was an absolutely wonderful host! We learned so much about the land, wild clay, and how to process it. She was so welcoming and answered all of our questions, while providing a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you Becky! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience in the mountains.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable experience! Becky was very warm and inviting. She provided detailed information on how she collects and prepares the clay she uses from the earth and interesting historical facts about Julian. We were given the opportunity to mold clayfreely using her examples or our own ideas. This was definitely a highlight of our weekend getaway.
