This was such a fun tour! We are visiting from out of town and this was such a cool way to learn about the city of Portland-both the weird and the usual. Otneil did an awesome job of answering our questions and made it a great interactive experience. I would definitely recommend this tour!

This tour is a must-do for anyone who likes beer and is interested in Portland’s artistic flair. Skip those boring tours about the Founding Fathers; we tell stories of Bigfoot sightings, exploding whales, a bagpipe-playing unicyclist, wacky themed bike rides, hipsters, the world’s smallest park, aliens, and more! The tour takes place in the vibrant Hawthorne/Division neighborhoods. Known for its funky hangouts, cool eateries, and one-of-a-kind pubs. This area is a must-visit. We stop at the neighborhood’s most loved murals and tell the stories behind them. Your tour guide, Otniel, is also one-of-a-kind. With years of experience and a passion for Portland’s local legends and quirky culture, Otniel is simply the best guide in the business. Experience the eccentricity of Portland, Oregon, and visit its quirkiest neighborhoods on this walking pub tour. You won’t regret it!

The bars we visited were great but the information we learned was very scattered and presented in such an overly detailed way that I retained barely anything. Like at the end of the tour at the food trucks he showed us a 1970s news video of an exploding whale on a beach. It made absolutely no sense why that would be shown to us at that moment or why it was relevant or interesting to learn about.

Be careful of booking a tour on a holiday. Two of the places we were supposed to go to were closed. Otneil, the tour guide, did an excellent job at pivoting and made changes so we still enjoyed ourselves. Lots of fun, weird facts with some walking and some beer.

Rocky start because it was the Fourth. Our guide quickly adapted and we enjoyed learning all about the weird Portland facts. Loved our time at McMenamins and walking through Ladds Addition.

What makes Portland weird and fun at the same time? Take this tour and you will find out. Even though we are long time Portland restaurants, this walking tour helped us learn new interesting facts. You can also purchase beer and food at the three breweries. We really enjoyed it!
