It was wonderful experience, if you have time check it out. Brian S was very helpful, great tour guide.

Take a day trip from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park, described as the crown jewel of the country's many splendid national parks. You will be guided on a coach tour to highlights such as Bridalveil Falls, Tunnel View, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls, with a stop for a 1-mile (1.6-km) walk into a grove of giant sequoias*. Our vans only take 15 passengers, so we are able to stop at more places with less time for loading and unloading of passengers. *weather permitting, and the hike is not recommended for people with health issues

Good: The day was beautiful, and so many amazing things to see. Our guide made sure we had time at each stop to take pictures and plenty of time for the hike. Definitely time well spent. Not so good: Everything went well until the very end, when our tour guide proclaimed to everyone that he barely gets paid and that a 20% gratuity of whatever we paid was the expected amount he wanted. That would have been close to a $90 tip. My wife and I have traveled to ten countries in the past four years and never had someone boldly declare the dollar amount (or percent) they firmly expected. The tour is roughly $450 as is. We found his requested amount to be astronomical and in poor taste to insist this upon his guests.

Repeat after me: Steven Schwenka is the best tour guide at Best Bay Area Tours! Steven Schwenka is the best tour guide at Best Bay Area Tours! Steven Schwenka is the best tour guide at Best Bay Area Tours! I went on this tour a bit after Thanksgiving 2025 and from the instant I met Steven I thought this guy was hilarious. I was a bit uneasy about the price, but looking back on the trip it really was a no brainer. This trip saved us time, and I did not feel like I sacrificed anything by going with a group. We saw all the major Yosemite attractions (El Capitan, the Half dome, Yosemite Valley, etc...), and had ample time to take plenty of pictures. I even found time to take a shower at the bottom of Yosemite falls, and saw people free solo climb at Camp 4. I can speak for everyone in the group when I say that I could take so many beautiful pictures I do not know what to do with them. Thank you Steven! Thank you Best Bay Area Tours! If you were on the fence I hope this review helped!
