I have used many Drift Fishing charters and hands down this was the absolute best. We took the 6 hour trip. The crew was very accommodating and attentive. This is a great trip for everyone from professional anglers to first time goers, you will truly enjoy this crew.

The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price. The vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms. Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches. The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary. The boat never left, there wasn't enough people. Should have contacted us, they knew .................

I didn't personally catch any fish but I did catch a good time. My daughter and I tried to do the afternoon the day prior but did not have enough people so we moved it to the following day. Only took about 15/20 minutes to get to the first spot and many were hooking up. Tried a few spots and got more coral then fish. I will say though all the crew was very attentive, friendly, communicative and present. they were always making sure bait was good, helping when lines got tied up, assisting in those who needed help with reels and what not. I have been on a few charters before and this is my top 5 for sure but I would suggest targeting the morning trips as the afternoons seem to not happen. I would go again and even do a full day trip if one was offered.

The ship and crew were fine, but very little fish were caught that could be kept. For me and my son we caught 3 fish. First, a red snapper which crew said was 15 inches ( although they didnt meadute it). They daid it needed to be 18 inch to keep so they tossed it back. Second fish was bit bigger but they daid are not good eating (i forget the name) and they tossed back. Third was a small about 10 inch fish with yellow dots, they let us keep it but it was super small. Noone on the boat of about 30 people vaught anything worth the trip, like no Tuna, Mahi, Sail fish. They also didnt use live bait, just frozen herring. Overall its an inexpensive trip, but a poor experience fishing wise. I dont recommend it. Most pictures on their site are 6-7 years old, not what they are catching today.

Had a great experience on this trip. The boat was nice and well kept. The crew was super friendly and engaging. Equipment was top-notch and bait as well. No regrets, highly recommended.
