The estate is lovely. The history was very depressing about how times were back in time.

This tour is so much more than a house tour. The plantation home was beautiful and so interesting to be given explanations of why it was built a certain way. The living room was built down a few steps from the foyer, possibly to make it seem more formal, but more likely to keep that room cooler in the summer. It was interesting to hear about the different owners over the centuries and about the different crops grown and most importantly, the history of slavery there. It was a very worthy day. Every one of the Tour guides and Presenters were amazing!! Thanks very much for passing on so many important details!!

Your price was $10 more than the admission price and for two senior adults we felt very taken advantage of.
