We had a great time exploring the island! The weather was beautiful, though a bit humid in downtown Nassau. We visited Fort Charlotte, which was really interesting, and stopped at The Captain’s Deck for a drink—great atmosphere and very hospitable staff. Next, we checked out The Caves. They were smaller than I expected, but full of character (and bats!). Just around the corner, we had lunch at Da Plantation Restaurant. Although the service was a bit slow, the food was worth the wait—I recommend the grouper tacos and grilled chicken sandwich. We wrapped up the day at Jaws Beach. It was peaceful, beautiful, and the scenery on that side of the island was especially lush. Snorkeling wasn’t great there, but the beach itself made up for it. Driving around the island was probably the most fun part of our adventure. The Bowcar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—letting us drop off the buggy at our hotel and even picking it up for us. They helped us build out our itinerary, and when we had to cancel our first trip and original booking, they were prompt, accommodating, and understanding. Nassau is a beautiful place filled with beautiful people. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this company and experience!
