I enjoyed the ride to the plantation and back. I felt secure in knowing I had someone to take me back to the city. The plantation itself was something I wanted to do and visit. A part of American history never to forget

Come explore the Louisiana Whitney Plantation and gain a unique perspective on history! This 5-hour tour brings you through one of the oldest plantation sites in Louisiana and provides insight into the lives of enslaved people and the troubles they faced. This is an educational experience that will stay with you for years to come. Hear about first-hand accounts from those who lived and worked on the plantation, giving you an in-depth look into this important part of American history. As you tour the grounds, you will learn more about what life was like for slaves during that era – their work, their hardships, and their hopes for freedom – as well as how experts are working today to preserve these stories forever. Please note: this tour is not a guided tour of the Whitney plantation. The Whitney Plantation provides a MP3 so all guests can walk through the plantation and learn about the history of the plantation on their own time and at their own pace.

Us and 1/2 dozen others got the impression that we paid for a guided tour. It was advertised as guided, but has a disclaimer that no guide is provided. It should not be advertised as guided. Also, it was advertised as a 5 hour tour but we were hustled out before we were done with our tour and the tour was barely 4.5 hours. The extra 1/2 hour would have made the difference of finishing the tour. Not a good experience and I would not recommend this tour company

Great tour. A few tips, the pick up time is when they start going from pick up point to pick up point. I don’t know why they choose the spots for you, as our was far from where we were staying and we picked people up much closer to our hotel. The van is also unmarked, which was a bit odd. The Whitey Plantation was great and would recommend.
