Casa Habano, Nestle in the Historic Little Havana District, offers a unique Tour. Our Tour is educative and interactive, hands-on experience, that is appealing to smokers and none smokers alike who appreciate "art" and "Traditions". The tour, will teach you about Tobacco's origins, how the tobacco is cultivated, cured, fermented and aged. We transport you back to the future by narrating the history of the Florida cigar industry golden epic, which became known as the Cigar Capital of the World".

Stop At: Casa Habano1743 Southwest 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135Upon entering the Casa Habano, each guest will be greeted with a traditional Cuban coffee or "Cafe Cubano" to get a full sensory experience. From there we begin a video on the seeding, germination, planting, curing, fermenting and sorting of tobacco leafs before shipped to factories. We continue by sharing the history of Commercial cigar rolling in Florida which began with small-scale operations by Cuban immigrants in the 1830s, and blossomed in to the "cigar Capital of the World", with Pioneers like Vicente martinez Ybor and Eduardo Manrara. Next we visit the GALERA to experience each manufacturing stage: PRIMARY PROCESS - This is where you get to see firsthand the different types of tobacco and the aging process. Here you will see and learn how various tobaccos are sorted. DEVEINING - The removal of the center vein is a critical process of preparing the tobacco, and we will show you how it is done. TWISTING & ROLLING - Constructing a cigar is a 3 step process. See our Master Torcedores, twist, bind, press and roll our premium cigars. PACKING - Once cigars have been rolled they undergo further aging, before they're label and packaged for distribution. For safety, we recommend to wear closed shoes. During the tour, guests are invited to enjoy (1) complimentary cigar.Duration: 1 hourAdditional Information

Very enjoyable tour! Rene did a fantastic job sharing his passion and knowledge about cigar making and cigar culture. From the hands on feel and smell of the various leaves to the roller and making process, well worth the visit! Some coffee and pastries to boot! Thanks Rene!

The staff and ower were so nice. Very knowledgeable of how cigars are made from every detail to have to cut it.

Our tour started with some delicious cuban pastries & expresso.
Rene Diaz, CEO & founder of the Casa Habano Cigar Factory greeted us, then introduced his son who was our guide to learning about cigar making.
We watched a short video that explained how seeds are planted into flat trays, then small pots, & finally into fields. We saw how the leaves are processed to be used as filler, binder, or wrappers.
Not only did we hold & smell different types of tobacco leaves, but we watched their "cigar rollers" at work & they were able to answer any questions we had.
Our guide also explained the history of cigar making & how labor-intensive it is. At the end of the tour, we each received 2 cigars. (The shop rolls all of its product.)
This activity cost $35 per person & lasted about an hour. It is booked through Trip Advisor Experiences.
