Get to know San Francisco’s most iconic waterfront destination. You’ll start with breathtaking views of the bay and then head off to explore the rest of Fisherman’s Wharf. This includes the Embarcadero Promenade, historic ships, the sea lions of Pier 39, and food stalls selling specialties like crab sandwiches and sourdough bread. Our tour also takes you along a portion of the fabled Barbary Coast trail and inside the 1930s Musée Mécanique with its vintage oddities. Afterward, your guide will walk you to your cruise departing for Alcatraz. Board with your included ticket and enjoy the views on the ride over. Although overall it was not specified that it was on foot, only petot hic, otherwise the explanations of the guide were very good and the tour on Alcatraz was just wow 🤗

My husband and I purchased this excursion. Our guide was Amanda; she has lavender colored hair. Amanda’s tour of Fisherman’s Wharf was very interesting. This is where the fun ends. She told my husband and me there was an issue with our tickets but assured us she would help us at the pier. She told us she would wait until we got our tickets. She disappeared while we were in line. The ticket booth could not verify our booking number or find our tickets. We sent an immediate chat to FirstExperience requesting a refund. We bought two new tickets and boarded the ferry to Alcatraz. My husband received an email 1.5 hours later, WHILE WE WERE TOURING ALCATRAZ, stating Experience First had provided us new tickets. As a result they were refusing to reimburse or refund. I called the following day and asked for a refund. First they said they had to contact Amanda to verify our story and would call back. When they did call back, they said they were unable to reach Amanda but that they had sent new tickets to us. I explained we bought new tickets. They said they would have to verify we did not use the newly issued tickets, which we did not use. I requested a refund, but the representative Nina said she was not authorized to provide a refund. I informed her that since she was not authorized to send a refund, I was authorized to write this review. DO NOT USE EXPERIENCE FIRST. THEY DID NOT PROVIDE OUR TICKETS IN A TIMELY MANNER, THE GUIDE AMANDA LEFT WITHOUT HELPING US, AND THEY REFUSED TO PROVIDE A REFUND.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Maggie was extremely knowledgeable and it was conducted at a nice pace. She made sure she knew we had all the information we needed before dropping us at the Alcatraz tour.
