Obviously there is a different light on the monuments, but also a different mood visiting the monuments in the evening. Our guide was fabulous and gave us different facts and information than the daytime tour. I would recommend sightseeing both during the day and evening. FYI - there is only one monument I would recommend seeing for sure during the daylight, the Vietnam Memorial.
