Very informative in our guide Dwayne was very good. Lotta history and a lot of detail on the capital in the Library of Congress. There’s walking and steps involved so if you have issues with either, this probably isn’t a tour for you and there is walking outside so if it’s a bad weather day, that’s something to consider.

Get your chance to discover the famed Capitol Hill with an experienced personal guide who will walk with you, detailing the historical facts related to each building and landmark. In this walking tour, you’ll explore the seat of the legislative and judicial branches of the US Government and its supporting facilities, collectively known as Capitol Hill.

Departure Point

  • 8am Tours: Please meet across the street from the Supreme Court building, located at 1 First Street NE.
  • 9am, 11:30am, 2pm Tours: Please meet at the U.S. Botanic Garden Conservatory at 100 Maryland Avenue SW. Plan to meet 15 min prior to tour start time. Guide will meet you next to a large planter located outside the conservatory in the Terrace Garden, which is a paved courtyard near the entrance.

You can't take snacks or drinks into the capital. Can take an empty water bottle to fill once inside. I had to throw out about $5 of snacks. Wish I had been told beforehand.

Dwayne was an excellent guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to see the Capitol and hear many things we wouldn’t have had we not had a guide. Highly recommend!
