If anyone has mobility issues, a wheelchair accessible tram is at the dock level. A second adult may ride with the mobility-impaired person, if bench space allows. Others must walk the steep ¼ mile hike up to the cell house. Reconvene at the top.

There is no food sold on Alcatraz. Any food you bring must be eaten at the dock.
