We came into Bimini on a Virgin Cruise. It was our last day and I really wanted to do a bike ride because my wife and I had been there 40 years ago and really wanted to see the part of the island south of the cruise ship port. By the time we were able to sign up for shore excursions everything was full. I went to my Tripadvisor app and found Eclipse Bicycle Rentals and Tours in walking distance of the cruise ship port. Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical at first as no one was there and the building was a small structure like you would buy from Home Depot for a tool shed. There were several bikes under a tarp outside. Soon a van arrived with the lady that ran the business and our tour guide, Marcus. We got our relatively new looking bikes and headed south with Marcus in the lead. Marcus has been on the island most of his life and he knows it quite well and everyone knows Marcus! He first took us to a place for a fresh conch salad that they made out of a conch we picked out, and a beer. After that we kept heading south with Marcus pointing our points of interest along the way. We saw the site of the former awesome Hemingway haunt and bar, The Compleat Angler, destroyed by fire in 2006. Marcus pointed out land owned by the Jack Daniels family, and we went to the end of the island and saw a shipwreck and the channel between Bimini and South Bimini. On the way back we stopped at a restaurant for conch fritters and a Goombay Smash! We then went to a place called The Dolphin House for a tour by the owner and builder. The house is completely made of recycled materials and has to be seen and toured to believe! The tour took about three hours and was a blast! Marcus is a great tour guide and I highly recommend this tour.

Once geared up with bike, helmet and lock, you’ll head out from Fisherman’s Village on a leisurely 3-hour ride through Alice Town and Bailey Town on this skinny island’s southern tip. Among the highlights of your multi-stop ramble: a tour of notoriously quirky Dolphin House, a shipwreck exhibit at Bimini Museum, a nod to Hemingway history at the Complete Angler, and a brief call at the historic Methodist Church graveyard. You’ll also have about 30 freeform minutes to graze for handicrafts at Bimini Straw Market and so much more. This tour gives you the full experience of Bimini in just 3 hours.

This was by far Not the best experience when dealing with an extreme medical emergency that unfortunately happened the day before our scheduled tour. They refused any kind of refund. With that said, 3 out of the 4 of us were thankfully able to join the tour which they then cancelled without notifying us. I called their number provided and they simply said they cancelled because they didn’t think we were going to come. We showed up for our bike tour since I never officially cancelled online (which is required for cancellation) and I even wrote the morning of that we would still attend the tour. Extreme Accidents can happen during a vacation therefore I would highly NOT recommend an already over priced tour with this company.

Eclipse was an efficient quick rental. Bikes were ok and didn’t have any mechanical issues. Price was what they advertised, no hidden fees.

We thoroughly enjoyed our bike tour of Bimini with Marcus. We saw so much more than we would have seen on our own. We thought the conch (2 ways) was delicious! The weather was stormy and they delayed our tour so that we experienced a beautiful, sunny day!

Worth every penny. What a great experience our tour guide(hate I can’t remember his name!) was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable. The food tastings were delicious and the knockout punch was even better. We got a mini tutorial on removing the conch from the shell and you will ABSOLUTELY AMAZE at the dolphin museum!
