🐋 Fun experience! Our group saw 2 grey whales. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us info based on the animals we saw. I was most amazed by how she was able to anticipate when the whale would go back up for air by observing its movements under the water I also appreciated how the team was concerned for the wellbeing of the animals. We were in the way of the proper path so the captain adjusted immediately. 🧍🏻good crowd control. Our ride was max capacity and they were able to make sure everyone saw the whales 🤳They also recorded videos of the whales we saw! Honestly no need to try and video bc theirs was much better. Just enjoy :) 🛟 The safety rails were a little lacking in my opinion, but they’ve had no incidents so i guess its okay. They also offer life vests if you want to wear one. 😷If you’re sea sick they’ll also be able to take care of you. They gave wrist bands for pressure and a bucket just in case 🔵 btw, the check in area is easy to miss since its just a simple table next to the blue flag

Whale watching season is all year long in San Diego! Our team at Next Level Sailing provides the optimal experience with guides so experienced we received a 100 percent success rate during winter whale watching when spotting the King of the Deep. We are one of the best outdoor activities to do in San Diego. Gray whale watching season spans from mid-December through April. Blue whales and fin whales are seen feeding in San Diego from April - August. Humpback whales and minke whales are seen throughout the year, particularly in the spring, summer, and fall. Aboard our 141-foot sailing yacht, the Yacht America, you will see a plethora of whales firsthand in their natural habitat. In addition to whales, we also see dolphins and sea lions, and an abundance of naval activity. Don't be surprised if you see an F-18 fly overhead! Bring your own picnic, friends, and family for a wonderful day out on the water

The boat itself is worth the excursion with it's beauty & history (and TV shows its been on!) Loved the staff, especially chatting with the Captain. Service was top notch with fun cocktail offerings and snacks -- they also knew so much about the various whale and other animals we saw. The sights were beautiful and the whales were majestic. Definitely recommend!

I had an absolutely spectacular experience on the whale watching tour this past weekend with my mother! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond—attentive, knowledgeable, and full of fascinating facts about marine life and local history. The ride was incredibly smooth (I’ve struggled with seasickness in the past, but not this time!), and they made everything so easy and enjoyable. They even provided snacks and drinks, which was a lovely touch. This tour truly felt like a bucket-list experience, and I couldn’t recommend it more. A must-do for anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure!

I was a little skeptical when there weren’t many traditional seats and we sat on deck boxes. However we had a great experience. The ride was smooth and we had a great view. We were able to find 2 groups of gray whales and a pod of 150 dolphins. We even got to see them stampede. A bucket list event for sure! The crew was knowledgeable and very helpful. Highly recommend this tour. (And we were glad we brought coats!)
