Please note that this experience is not about holding the animals, despite what some of the promotional images might suggest. A staff member brings out one animal at a time, allowing you to see it up close, but guests are not allowed to hold them. During our session, we saw a tortoise, a snake, a baby alligator, and a goat. At the end, they do offer one free photo where you can briefly hold the alligator, which was a nice touch. However, the overall experience is more of an educational commentary than an interactive encounter. For what it is, the per person fee felt quite high to us. Plenty of car parking is available onsite. Arrive before 2:30PM to ensure your spot and allow 45mins. if you are driving from the Ft. Lauderdale area to reach the park.

Amazing tour with our Captain Jo! We saw a lot of gators in many different behaviours. One hour spent with adrenaline and relax.

Tour guide Zack (from Colorado) was great. Saw a wonderful show later. Best trip in Everglades with family. The kids enjoyed it the most.

The airboat ride was amazing and Captain Chaos, our boat Captain, was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw three alligators and a number of different birds during the hour ride. The reason for my poor rating is because I use a mobility scooter and the accessibility is horrendous. We attended the Alligator Boys (rescue) show. Queued for ages, backwards and forwards in the line as they do, but at each turn I couldn’t get around and had to manoeuvre back and forth forth a number of times to get round the bends. Once inside, Sat in a little bay marked for disabled but many of the other people coming in decided to use my scooter and the e little bay as a short cut, literally standing on the edge of my scooter to get past to the seats behind - despite the fact that just the other side of me was a set of stairs. After the short show (we had queued for longer than the show actually lasted) we followed the signs to exit. After a few turns came out onto really deep gravel path that was awful, the scooter really struggled and bounced severely, damaging one of the wheels. I ended up getting off and leaning on my daughter to reach the end of the gravel, only to find that there were then around 10 steep steps to get out of the section. No other way out. Eventually we were told we should go back out the way we came in, back across the gravel, up a step and then in and out around the people coming in for the next show. It was really bad, no one around and no one actually gave a toss, they’d had our money after all. Ventured into the gift shop hoping for ice cream. Couldn’t move in there, crammed with people and with so much stuff I couldn’t get around any of the corners, ended up reversing back out and was sworn at a number of times by people trying to get into the shop. One large woman stepped right in front of me and then swore at me loudly when I accidentally ran over her foot. She’d virtually shoved her foot under my wheel trying to get in front of me. So whilst for most folks I would say, yes it’s a great day out and the airboat ride was great. The other two items, the alligator shoe (15 mins max) and the little animal encounter (a baby alligator, a snake and two ferrets) were really not worth the money. And if you are disabled, give this place a miss, it’s upsetting and shocking.
