Our recent adventure into the Olympic National Park was magical! The weather was cooperative (mostly sunny) and the scenery was outstanding. We saw many different types of flora - trees, stumps, moss, bushes, flowers and several types of mushrooms. We also saw two beautiful waterfalls throughout our day. A huge shoutout to Marty our super knowledgeable and patient guide! *Please make sure you bring many layers of clothing and water proof sneakers or shoes. Enjoy!

overall the experience was positive, the snack offerings and prepared lunch were excellent. we really appreciated the extra layers that our guide provided for an expectedly chilly and rainy day - that was a very nice touch. I think our trip was highly impacted by the poor weather which of course was not on the company or the guide. the guide was extremely knowledgeable about the park and was able to find other areas to see that were less impacted by the conditions but reading other reviews gives the impression we would have been able to have a better experience had the rain not been so heavy. we certainly saw more and had a much more comfortable experience than had we tried to tackle the park on our own. the van was comfortable as our group was very small, this would have not been the case if it was a fully booked tour as the seats were somewhat narrow and there is not a lot of leg room. there are plenty of places to use a restroom and you will be getting in and one of the van many times - the head clearance is high so you’ll be able to fully stand up to do so. expect hikes up to 1 hour round trip at the longest, some uneven terrain including stepping up and down on to muddy surfaces but all treks were on well defined trails and trekking poles were provided. a lot of the day is spent travelling which is to be expected given the distance from Seattle to the peninsula - the ferry ride was great to see the sky line and break up the drive. several stops along the way to stretch your legs and use the restroom which made a big difference. would not recommend this tour for those looking for more of an adventurous outdoor experience but folks who want a more relaxed approach to enjoy the scenery and are able to navigate a moderate hike it was great.
