You’ll arrive around noon in Stateline, Nevada, just blocks from South Lake Tahoe, California, all relaxed and raring to go! You’re on your own for accommodations and setting a weekend agenda limited only by your energy and imagination.
Of course, during the snowy seasons, the area is winter wonderland. Lake Tahoe skiing at Heavenly and other resorts around the lake is world-class. You can enjoy Nordic skiing and other snow sports. You’ll find great outdoor experiences at Heavenly Mountain Resort in the summer and fall. Ride the scenic gondola to the mountain top, fly across canyons on a zip line, ride the mountain’s roller coaster, scale the climbing wall or try your hand panning for gemstones.
Weather permitting, you may be drawn to the blue waters of the lake for an Emerald Bay cruise on the M.S. Dixie. Or maybe you want to get a bird’s-eye view of the bay in a helicopter flyover.  Lace up your hiking boots and roam some of the great trails in the area, including D.L. Bliss State Park, where you can take a selfie with the Balancing Rock. Explore Vikingsholm Castle’s outstanding Scandinavian architecture and scenic location. Or find some fun in the sun at popular Baldwin Beach.
