Your tour starts at the Suncoast Youth Conservation Center, the Florida Aquarium's center for conservation located just one mile south of Tampa Electric's Manatee Viewing Center. Meet your naturalist tour guide, and begin paddling through the mangroves of Newman Branch Creek.

Enjoy this chance to see native wildlife including birds, crustaceans, stingrays, and possibly manatees or sharks! Not only will you see and learn about the natural environment around big, blue, beautiful Tampa Bay, you'll dive deeper into the Florida Aquarium's conservation programs and find out how you can help make positive waves for the natural environment.

Make two stops during your adventure — a nature observation tower, where you'll get a bird's-eye view of the mangrove forest and surrounding wetlands habitat, and the shoreline in Apollo Beach for a provided picnic lunch on the shoreline.

Then paddle back to the kayak launch site to end your tour two hours later.

This tour accommodates up to 12 guests and is available for those who are ages 6 years and older and weigh at least 50 lbs (22.5 kg); guests ages 6 to 10 years are required to be in a tandem kayak accompanied by a guest 18 years or older.
