100% recommend booking with Go Local Manatee Tours! Our guides were friendly, informative, local people who cared deeply about the manatees and respecting their natural habitat while getting to enjoy being up close with them. It was especially wonderful to travel with a small group tour directly from the dock. Some other companies have to drive you in and then bring you out to see the manatees and the groups were a lot bigger and spent less time out on the water. Since we met at the marina, we got right out on the water and had plenty of time to see lots of manatees. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

First things first; we happened upon an absolutely perfect time for winter viewing of the Manatees. The unreasonably cool weather forced a great number of Manatees into the river to stay warm by the springs. Captain Josh and Lindsey were awesome. They were really informative about the Manatees, their habits/lives and what we can do to be respectful of them. Lindsey did a great job in the water guiding us and also giving us time to just explore some peaceful time watching these incredible animals. The photos (included in the price!) were awesome. One final note; I really appreciated the smaller boat and, associated, smaller party size. It is a local group that is operated and screwed by local folks. This, to us, makes such a big difference in the experience.

My wife and I did the 3 hour small group manatee swim and it was amazing. The guides were great and the experience felt relaxed and not crowded at all. Swimming with the manatees was unreal and the free photo package was an awesome bonus. Definitely recommend.

AMAZING experience. Loved Captain Walter and In-water guide Derrick! Very kind, professional and genuinely care for the wellbeing of animals above all else. We were able to get close and personal and captured photos of our day. Hope to do again another day!
