We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, day pack, layers to adjust to changing temperatures, camera, hat, hiking shoes/boots or tennis shoes with a good tread, gratuity for your guide.
If you are not planning to rent gear for hiking the Narrows (though we strongly recommend it), we recommend bringing trekking poles, wearing secure, slip-resistant shoes, and wearing clothes and shoes you are comfortable with getting wet.
