The civil war tour of the three destinations was incredible…. The war’s impact told through the eyes of families caught in the middle is the best way to learn the history of such a significant event. I was particularly impressed with the three tours guides….i mean four guides as the bus driver Nick from Nashville to Franklin gave us so much valuable information on nashville. The guides were passionate about history and appeared to absolutely love their jobs. This is a tour you do not want to miss if you are a history buff or simply curious about civil war facts. A nice lunch break was also appreciated as there are a ton of restaurants in Franklin worth visiting. I would give this 10 stars on this five star system.

Roger the tour guide gave an informed and interesting commentary, answered questions really well and was a friendly host. Would thoroughly recommend. Guides at each site really brought to life the battle and the human aspect for those in Franklin.

The guide at the Carnton set the stage for the battle. At the Carter house, the guide not only shared an abundance of facts, but painted the picture of the war. Speaking from the heart you could see, feel and almost touch the carnage that took place that day. Whether upstairs in the living room or huddled down in the basement. The Lotz house presenter showed the families devastation of losing their home and almost their lives. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in an emotional experience of what war is all about.
