This is the second time I take a tour with Greg while in NYC. He does a terrific job combining history and the past with the vibrant city of today. The LGBTQ tour gives insight into the challenges faced by gay people through time and how laws made their lives difficult. Pace of the tour was good, and Greg’s enthusiastic personality makes it all the more engaging. Highly recommend any of his tours!

The tour takes the traveler through the journey of NYC's LGBTQ Civil Rights and Historic sites accompanied with food tastings from some Greenwich Village's tastiest restaurants. Samples are subject to availability, and include: The Donut Pub's Black and White Cookie, Mighty Quinn's corn fritters and burnt ends with baked beans, a classic bagel and a smear, a sweet from Lilac chocolates, ending with creamy ice cream from Brooklyn's Van Leewuen. The tasty samples are bites, not a meal. Tour is limited to eight tourists, providing a more intimate experience.

I found Greg through trip advisor when I was looking for things to do in west village/greenwich village before a show at the village vanguard. We went on the NYC Greenwich Village LGBTQIA+ History and Food Tour. I wanted my husband to have some more physical content on queer history in NYC and see some locations IRL. Greg was an ebullient tour guide and a real NYC character. His guidance totally added to the experience and made it feel even more authentic. The food along the way were also tasty bites, with my personal favorite being Van Leeuwen ice cream! Greg was super open to having conversation and answering our many questions. We have lived in the NYC area since 2014 and I even learned some new things about the history of the village area. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon in NYC and Greg took great care of us. Highly recommended! 💖🙏🏻🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

The LGBTQ+ aspect of the tour was surface-level- often preaching to the choir- though we did see some iconic queer sights and spaces. As for the food…it totally lacked. In the provided picture, 3 of the dishes are from the same spot. Very little was said about the eateries or the bites themselves. By the end, our appetites were far from satisfied. A few days later, we enjoyed a much more comprehensive food tour in the form of Williamsburg Bites.
