We had the pleasure to have the tour from Gary himself. He made us feel very welcome and relaxed. He allowed us to take our time to go around to listen and take in everything. He told us personal stories as well as snippets of every moment that happened when he was there. He allowed us to hold artifacts and take as many photos as we wanted. When we got there, we were a little perplexed as it's in an apartment and at first I thought this would be terrible but, I soon realised you didn't need a mansion you just needed the memories. Would I recommend this? YES I WOULD 100%. Don't be fooled with it's location (hint-not in 9/11) but please take your time to look and listen to someone who witnessed the aftermath of this disaster. His story is very a sad but beautiful one which he tells verbally and through this collection, physically. Just again thankyou so much.

Excellent historical information about the recovery efforts at Ground Zero/WTC site after the 9/11 attack with a focus on the work done by the FDNY. Amazing photos, artifacts, and audio from those on the scene. Enter on 14th Street. You need to press the buzzer and then the museum opens the door. Take the elevator to the second floor. View at your own pace. Easy to use audio explains the photos and artifacts.

The 9/11 Workshop Museum was incredibly moving and hearing Gary speak to us about the recovery process was truly amazing. He shared the events with so much emotion and knowledge, while still being respectful to the families who tragically passed away. A powerful, informative visit that I won’t forget.
