Our Company was cofounded by Kala Alexander and Makua Rothman. Both have native Hawaiian blood and both are life long professional watermen. Both have been invited to and have competed in the most prestigious big wave contest in the world, "The Eddie." Only 28 of the best big wave surfers in the world are invited to compete every year and the waves must be in the 40-60 foot range to run the contest. Makua finished in the top 5 the last time it ran. Makua is also the 2014/2015 Big Wave World Champion. With their connection to the ocean and everything in it the company is just an extension of who they are. Both have also been heavily involved in the movie/tv industry. Makua mostly in stunt work and Kala with both stunt work and movie and tv parts including Blue Crush, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Hawaii 5-0, Magnum PI, Marvel Comic's
The Inhumans among others. In 2014 Kala even hosted his own episode of Shark Week called "Sharkageddon."
Itinerary
You will take a quick three mile ride on our world class boat out to our dive site. Our boat is the most stable ion the business which allows us to keep the cage tied to the boat the entire time which allows you to get in and out whenever you want. Because you will only be a part of a small group everyone will fit in the cage the entire time which can be up to 45 minutes. Every other company will have 2-3 groups that have to share the same total cage time.
