This was the best tour I have ever been on! Kamille was our tour guide and she hands down was the greatest!!! It was like i was meant to be there on that tour the night I went! And the people that I was on the tour with were meant to cross paths with me!!! Ever since I’ve been back home after speaking with Kamille and learn the real history on voodoo my life has been so positive. If you go to New Orleans you gotta go on this tour! Also everything she spoke on was straight facts no bs. I’m definitely going back!!! Never judge something until you know the history behind it ❤️ Can’t wait to go back!! Kamille you rock girl!!! 🥰

This review would have been 4-5 stars if it hadn’t been for the gross, pro-slavery vibes our tour guide Lazlo was giving off. I certainly expect there to be -some- discussion of slavery in a voodoo tour, given how closely the two subjects interact, but what I didn’t expect was weird claims that “we were all just cousins and friends”, out-of-place claims about how slavery in Louisiana was better than slavery elsewhere, or the guide’s seeming need to keep reminding the group about indentured servants from Europe (“there were white slaves too”). Again, I understand that each piece of those claims do have a grain of historical truth, and play a role in the story, but when taken together, presented as they were, it casts the entire thing in a light that’s pretty clearly sympathetic to one of the worst practices in human history. That kind of bigoted revisionism isn’t acceptable anywhere, let alone in a tour that’s making its money examining the history of people of color in America. We can and should do better than this.

We did the voodoo tour, which we were informed was more educational than scary. This was a nice change compared to other tours. Our tour guide Brie was very good, easy to hear even in noisy locations and very knowledgeable. She interspersed history with personal experience. Only negative, is I wished the locations we stopped early on were more relevant to the history and your groups were large
