Points of Interest

Stop At: Columbia River Gorge National Scenic AreaOregonYou’d be hard-pressed to find vistas as stunning as these. At the western end of the Gorge, the view from Crown Point is a front-row seat to the mighty Columbia as its unfurls and cuts through the Cascade mountains. From there dozens of awe-inspiring waterfalls spill from basalt cliffs, lining the Historic Columbia River Highway, like the famous Multnomah, Bridal Veil and Latourell falls. The landscape seems to grow bigger, grander and brighter as it rolls east.Duration: Not AvailableStop At: Portland Women's Forum State Scenic ViewpointState Highway 30, , Troutdale, OregonThe view is absolutely breathtaking and it's one of the best spots to soak in a view of one of the most beautiful places on earth: the magnificent, awesome Columbia River Gorge.Duration: 15 minutesStop At: Wahkeena FallsColumbia River Highway, Troutdale, OregonThe 242-foot falls is a tiered type of waterfall, named after the Yakama word for "most beautiful". This was a great way to get out of the city and see some of Oregon's natural beauty. The tour guide, Rob, was great and very informative. I was pleased they allowed solo travelers on this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour!
