Such a fun experience! We saw spinner dolphins right after we left the harbor and then ventured out for awhile to find two other pods. Jumping in and trying to find the dolphins felt more hectic than I thought it would be, but the crew was great at explaining what to do. I think they extended the time in order for us to find dolphins which was worth it and much appreciated. I had also imagined the dolphins swimming around us but you gotta make sure you stay on the lookout for their brief swim by. Still worth the 5 to 10 second glimpse. They also swim super close to the boat for a longer time which was a once in a lifetime experience.

- Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Feel free to bring your own food and non alcoholic beverages on the tour, we will also provide water, juice and light snacks for you.
- Please note that BANANAs are prohibited on the boat due to Hawaiian superstitions. It will bring bad luck.
- We have snorkel gear on the boat for you, but if you have your own snorkel, mask and fins, please bring them.
- We do not have a wild dolphin and other wildlife guarantee.
- The time required for the transfer between Waikiki and the harbor is approximately 1 hour. (Depends on traffic conditions)
- Weather and wildlife conditions may delay our return to harbor.
- Starting October 28, 2021 regulations under the Marine Mammal Protection Act banned the 50-yard approach to Hawaiian spinner dolphins. Therefore, if we encounter a spinner dolphins, we will keep a distance of at least 50 yards and our boat will move away from the spinner dolphins quickly. On our tours you will experience swimming with other species of dolphins such as bottlenose and spotted dolphins. Dolphins are wild animals, so the species you can see will vary depending on the situation of the day. Please note that the above rules apply when seeing Hawaiian spinner dolphins. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation for the protection of wild animals.

The team at Indigo Ocean Hawaii made us feel very welcome. The safety talk was as thorough as it needed to be. The overall experience was excellent, we saw spinner dolphins, spotted dolphins, turtles and a seal. A great day spent with friendly people. Couldn't ask for more.

Incredibly amazing tour with amazing team. It was a unique experience once and hopefully more in life time. We need to protect our earth and enjoy the communication with other creatures on earth and this tour team were a great example of respecting the nature while enjoying the connection. ❤️

Very friendly and engaging staff. This was our 3rd time on this excursion over the past few years. We liked the excitement of quickly jumping in the water to potentially get a nice view of the dolphins as they swim by. It’s obviously a hit or miss proposition. But more times than not you do get a good view and they give it 3 tries. Another cool feature is that the crew will find an octopus at the snorkeling spot and allow you to handle it.

It actually exceeded what I was expecting. I assumed we would be in a controlled area with tamed mammals, not so! We swim in 3-4000’ deep ocean waters in search of mammals whales and dolphins we could swim with and watch in their truly natural habitat… bonus!!
