Interesting tour of Chicago Pedway system. Also given a lot of historical information on some of the buildings we went through. Would recommend. Was able to use ticket for this for admission into the Chicago architecture center.
This tour explores some of the best hidden details, secret buildings and spaces, and untold stories that add wonderful bits of color and texture to the overall narrative of Chicago. On this tour, we will explore the famous and mysterious Chicago Pedway, a system of underground tunnels connecting 40 blocks downtown, popping in and out of buildings to see beautiful and fascinating interior spaces. You'll learn to use this system that most locals don't even fully know or use, and you'll be encouraged to continue exploring Chicago on your own after the tour!
Departure Point
- We will meet in front of 120 N. LaSalle Street. There is a massive mosaic over the entrance -- you can't miss it!
- This tour will end just north of Millennium Park.

As a Chicagoan I wanted to learn more about Chicago Pedway for years. Finally, this year, I went with my husband and kids (15 and 17) and we all loved it. It may be too much for younger kids, as the walk is about 2 hours long. Our guide, Heath, is very knowledgeable and kept us entertained. Definitely recommended! Thank you, Heath

Spending Christmas week with our daughter and boyfriend in Chicago, we were searching for a fun afternoon activity and signed up for the Pedway tour. We were not disappointed. Heath was a terrific tour guide. He was very engaging and knowledgeable about Chicago and its history. He also had a good sense of humor. Highlights of the tour were learning the history of the pedway (within the context of the history of Chicago), the stain glass window in the Cultural Center and our encounter with Frank the barber under the Fairmont Hotel (who has cut the hair a many celebrities over the years). All in all a very good outing.

We had Adam as a guide and he was so fun, knowledgeable and made the experience better than we had planned. He knows about his city and seemed proud! We saw so many things we didn’t expect to see or learn and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone! It was also something we could do indoors during the cold season so that was nice during or winter get away.
