Captain Patrick and his amazing crew—Oz, Eric, and Edward—were the epitome of warmth, knowledge, and professionalism. They made every moment of the tour not just informative but downright fun. We were lucky enough to see a pod of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins up close as they frolicked in the water—definitely a sight we’ll never forget!
But the true magic of this tour came from the chance to get hands-on with the marine life. Our kids were thrilled to hold a Striped Burrfish and Filefish, touch a Blue Crab, and even pet a Smooth Butterfly Ray. It was such a unique, personal experience, and the crew made sure it was not only safe but fascinating for everyone. Their passion for marine life and the local ecosystem shone through in every interaction.
The tour was also sprinkled with some fun local history, including a quick but interesting tidbit about the Queen Isabella Memorial Bridge—a great way to tie in the area’s culture with the natural beauty surrounding us. But what really made this adventure unforgettable was how Captain Patrick invited all the kids up into the wheelhouse for a photo op. My boys (ages 7 and 10) were absolutely over the moon—it felt like an exclusive, VIP experience, and they’re still talking about it!

Enjoy a one and a half hour South Padre Island Dolphin Watch aboard the newly renovated Murphy's Law and see Atlantic Bottle-nose Dolphins in their natural habitat. During the Eco Tour/Dolphin Watch, you will also have the opportunity to see local and migratory birds and various sea life. The guided tour will also include the southernmost U.S. Coast Guard Station, Boca Chica Beach, the current location of Space X, and the South Padre Island Jetties...entryway to the Brownsville Ship Channel where one of the largest Shrimp Fleet calls home.

***During Summer Season, traffic becomes backed up to the Island some days for over an hour or two. Please plan to arrive at the Island accordingly. We ask that you arrive at least 1 hour prior to departure to check in. We will not hold the boat past 5 minutes. Our departure times are quick turn around, and cannot wait past that time. ***You are allowed a small cooler with any drinks or snacks you may want, although NO GLASS containers are allowed on the boats.
